My favourite colour and why I like it
My favourite colours are pink and light green. Out of the two I like light green the best. I like it because all the things in our environment is light green. I like pink because it is very beautiful. Sometimes I think the whole environment is pink and light green. Flowers are also pink and light green.
I don’t like other colours especially black and brown. When we mix red and white it makes pink and when we mix yellow and blue it makes light green. I like roses because they are pink but there are different coloured roses too. Sometimes I pick a small rose petal and squeeze it and it gives an amazing smell. There are lots of colourful flowers in my home garden. I plant plants and put water to the vegetables and flowers. There are so many things to tell about light green, pink and the other colours. Pink and green are my best colours in the whole world.

A noisy evening
As the sun was finishing its journey across the sky, I was on the rooftop with my camera. I hoped to get a few good captures that evening to post them in my photography club. As many birds flew into the sky, they started chirping loudly. Soon, other birds joined in.
To make matters worse, loud firecrackers started exploding. A squirrel got so scared that he jumped right into my lap. It started barking (a series of chattering) and bound away.
I spotted a beautiful bird not far away from me, and I took a photo. The only problem was its voice was loud. I scowled. Normally at this time of the day, everything from lively squirrels to lazy cows would all be quiet.
Later, to my alarm, I saw a cobra gliding towards the forest faster than lightning, closely in pursuit by a mongoose who was going tik, tik, tik. The snake was hissing as it went, but it went into the forest before I could take a photo.
As I stood up to go, dogs started howling. I winced. It was a terrible noise. As I was going down the stairs, I heard my mother exclaim, “Oh! What a noisy evening!”

How technology has affected us
Over the years, technology has revolutionized our world and daily lives. Technology has created amazing tools and resources such as cell phones, smart watches, computers and televisions, putting useful information at our fingertips.
Technology has become a must-need fact when it comes to communication. The invention of cell phones has become a huge step for mankind. Technology helps to connect people throughout the world.
Technology helps to improve the efficiency of business. By using various apps, people can connect and meet face-to-face no matter where we are. Technology has proved to be an efficient way to spread news. We can watch the news through the television even while it happens in another country. Technology helped us to continue our lessons while staying in our homes. This helps students to concentrate more, with fewer distractions. It may help retain extra knowledge that might get lost with the common classroom environment. These technological advancements make learning more fun and convenient.
As the technology improves, the world is slowly becoming a cashless society. People believe that online shopping is an easy and efficient way that saves time, energy and environmental pollution.
Some refer to technology and as blessing while some refer to it as a disaster.
Most children in the present are addicted to technology. They have become very dependent on technology to do their homework. Using calculators to solve minor mathematical sums is an example for this. Due to the reduction of human effort, most of the world’s population suffers from non-communicable diseases such as obesity.
We must understand that technology on its own is not evil. The way people uses it is what matters. So we must not let technology affect the way people think.
