A fun day with my dad
My mom had to go to school today for an important meeting. My dad was in-charge of me and my little brother. As my mom got into the car and drove to school, my father looked a bit worried. He was worried about breakfast. Soon he got to work and my little brother Anuresh and I were happy about the meal. We helped our father. Our menu for the day was sausages, hotdogs and nuggets. My mom chooses healthy food which neither of us really enjoyed. Today we worked very hard. Anuresh accidentally sprayed the sauce all over and we were covered with sauce. My father accidentally spilled the flour. I put extra spicy chili into the hot dogs.
Soon the menu was ready. We enjoyed it in the kitchen. The whole kitchen was a mess but we didn’t bother to clean it. We ran outside to play. I suggested we play tag but my brother wanted cricket. My father said that learning something new is very interesting so we started playing. I enjoyed it.
For lunch, we went to a restaurant and enjoyed. My father bought my brother and me new toys. We came home in the afternoon. We had a nap. As mom came home after the meeting she was shocked to see the messy kitchen. I had a really exciting fun day with my dad.

The refugee crisis around the world
Refugees are people who have to leave their country or nation due to natural disasters, war situations or religious and social problems. They travel across boundaries helplessly, to take shelter in another country.
The refugee crisis has been increasing in the present world. The most number of refugees are reported from Syria and Afghanistan. The incident of Aylan Kurdi which happened in September 2015, depicted to the world the gravity of the refugee crisis. Aylan Kurdi, a three year old boy was found dead in the beach of Bodrum, Turkey. His body was found on the shore with his head facing down. If we recall the incident, his family and some other Syrians were crossing the sea in a small boat, hoping to find a new life in Europe. But unfortunately the boat rolled over and they all fell into the sea. Aylan, his brother and mother were all drowned and his father barely survived. His death spread shockwaves around the world. A week later, 30 people lay on the beach of Rabat, Morocco as a tribute to this little youngster.
Some countries do accept these refugees. They give them permanent residencies and sometimes jobs too. Some countries do not accept refugees as they become a great weight to the country as they have to protect them, fulfill their nutritional needs, educational facilities and sanitary needs.
These refugees remain as displaced people. They live in temporary shelters on roads and other deserted places. Another ill effect of the refugee crisis is that some people pretend to be refugees to get permanent residency, by telling lies. They say that they can’t live in their own country as they are persecuted. Because of this many countries are in great trouble trying to find solutions for this crisis.
In pandemic situations the life of a refugee becomes even more dreadful, without medicine and other treatments being available. An example for this is the news of Indian refugees trying to reach Sri Lanka by boat due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In my view I think to overcome this crisis, countries must spread peace for all citizens by stopping wars, helping in natural disasters and solving social problems without making refugees go to another country for shelter.
