Homework is important
Homework is very important because it gives students many advantages. Students can practice at home what they have covered in class. It gives an opportunity to students to prepare for the next day’s academic activities.
Homework teaches us to develop good study habits and teaches us time management. It teaches us to meet deadlines. So this is very important. Homework develops our skills and talents. It encourages students to take responsibility to complete class activities. It improves our thinking and memory.
Homework affects our education. It affects the achievements in school. It shows how a student makes the link between school and home. It shows the way to success.

My favourite city
Cities are large towns and there are many beautiful cities in the world. Rome, Florence, London, Edinburgh, Venice, New York and Amsterdam are all cities of great beauty but Paris in France has a certain charm that makes it my favourite.
Paris is the capital city of France. Being the most appealing, glamorous and romantic of all cities, Paris is famed all over the world as the most beautiful and has become the most visited centre of tourist attraction over the years.
One reason why Paris has become my favourite is its unique way of lighting monuments and street – especially the legendary Eiffel Tower. The city has a magical way of lighting it nights! With over 50,000 street lights across the city, it’s no wonder why Paris is reputed all over the world as the ‘city of lights’! Intertwined in the city is the River Seine. This river captures the essence of the city and enhances its beauty.
One of the most iconic aspects of Paris that allures me is the beautiful classical architecture. When thinking of Paris the first thing that flashes through my mind, is the Eiffel Tower, the stunning Notre Dame Cathedral and even the Arc de Triomphe. The city’s architecture says a lot about its rich history too. The spectacular opulence of Parisian architecture is what makes Paris especially significant for me.
The city also is a charming honeymoon getaway. It is after all known as the ‘city of love’.
I love everything about Paris. Since I was little, Paris has always been at the top of my getaway list. Words can’t express the magnificence of Paris! After all Paris is a dream come true when it comes to cities.

Are e-books better than traditional paperback books?
The modern world is full of the latest technology, making our lives much easier. Technology has gifted us with so many kinds of new devices, including the e-book. However, have e-books really made our lives easier?
E-books are very popular among people in modern days. Rather than having to visit bookstores and come back with a few heavy books, tired and dirty, it is much easier to sit back at home, tap on your device’s screen and buy as many books as you wish, consuming very little time.
Moreover, e-books have proved to be easier to handle with no great weight on your lap and no bookmarks. E-books are also ideal for people with less space at home as one device can save thousands of books on one shelf unlike real books where a few books occupy a greater space.
Underneath all the comfort of e-books, there are also some disadvantages. E-books could lead to diseases such as eye strain, if used for long hours continuously. The pleasure of holding a paperback book in your hand is lost when using e-books. E-books could lead to closure of bookshops due to the lack of demand for books. The fact that people could also lose their jobs due to the closure is also to be considered.
Modern e-books can be easy but there are a number of disadvantages and paperback books could be regarded as the best way to read and enjoy reading.
