My plans for the December holidays
I have many plans for the December holidays. I have categorized my plans into two sections. Those sections are my Christmas plans and my travel plans.
My Christmas plans are plans which have been made to organize what to do for Christmas on specific dates. With the help of my mom, we planned what to do for Christmas. We planned that on December 15 we should buy decorations and supplies and start making cards. On December 18 we are going to put up our Christmas tree and decorate the tree and the whole house. We planned to have a party for the friends of my mom, dad, my brother and my friends on Christmas Day. There will be games and gifts for everyone. So we planned that my mom will make the food while I will write the invitations and prepare the games.
My travel plans are plans to go to different places. With the help of my family, we have planned to go to Ella every Saturday night in this month for dinner. We have planned to go to a restaurant names ‘Chill’ next Saturday. We have planned to go to the cinema on December 16. The movie we are going to watch is Frozen II. We are going to Colombo to see the movie.
I hope that the plans go well so that my family and I can have a great holiday.

What I understand by Human Rights
There is definitely something familiar about Human Rights to everyone. That is because they are practiced worldwide. They belong to every one of us and should not be violated in any situation. What’s more, rights have legal protection too. Accordingly, the way I see it, rights are things which you are allowed to make use of or something to which you are entitled to. For instance, you have the right to the books and uniforms that the government has provided you with. You have the right to practice the religion you prefer and people above 18 years of age have the right to vote. Human rights are the rights to which every human is entitled to, regardless of his/her race, religion, sex, nationality, language, ethnicity or any other status he/she might belong to. Human rights can also be regarded as the rights that belong to man as human beings. They can also be defined as the privileges given to a person as a member of the human society. A few of the basic human rights include the right to live, the right to education, the right to employment, the right to health and the right to vote.
Rights are important, as they help in making life satisfactory enough for one to live. They protect you and ensure that all human beings are treated fairly. They offer us respect and urge us to treat others with respect as well. Accordingly, it’s our duty to protect and respect the rights entitled to every person as a human being.
